Especially when I am expressly warned by the steam log in that itch.io is not affiliated with steam. io website with the log in details to my steam library containing x amount of dollars worth of games to unlock a purchase of 18 dollars. I am just informing you that I ,as a consumer, do not trust a. I am not a game developer and as such cannot be expected to know these things. I wouldn't pay full price for the game until UI will be seriously revamped. There are many more annoying oddities but I don't want to make huge comment.Įvery well done feature like amount of units, cities, map objects, unique mechanics and much more is nullified by cons which I wrote earlier. Number of units blends together with unit portraits. Upper status bar on battle screen is unreadable. I can build right buildings in city only because tooltips have bigger font. I play at 1280x1024 resolution, with UI scale 100% text is nearly unreadable, even with smooth option on. Also I have to click button one click after another to change UI scale by. There is a bug with UI scale - when I set it to something different than 100% then button collisions have wrong offsets so I was forced to this setting, this is real joke. My review is based on demo version 2.0.5. It looks like it was developed with Full HD and higher resolutions, this collides with overall retro feel. Sadly, game has numerous problems with UI. Same issue when I come back to play on the 4K settings the game kept the settings from the previous computer and I have to change them again, otherwise I only get a small window to play.ĭunno if it's possible to have the game keep different setups saved, depending on which computer it is installed by the same user?Īnyway, again, great game! I hope you find a lot of success and can't wait to see what other factions you will add with time or new DLC that you will make for the game! So I have to go back on the PC with the 4k monitor to reduce the settings to 1080P, get out of the game and then it works properly on the 1080P computer. When I want to play on the 1080p monitor on the other computer, the game keeps the 4k settings and I get to see only a portion of the screen. When I play on the 4k screen, my settings are set for 4k with fullscreen. I play this game on 2 computers, one on a 1080P screen, the other is on a 4K screen. I want to report an issue, it's not a bug, more of a quality of life issue. ![]() There's a lot of stuff in this little game!īeing on the faster side compared to other turn based strategy games, you may even be able to finish the hotseat games that you start!įirst off, I want to say that I love this game and I am totally addicted, as much as I was addicted to HOMM when I was younger. ![]() Co-op with other players or even with the AI. ![]() 301 units - 200 without counting upgrades.24 hero classes, with a special skill each.12 factions with special mechanics, strengths and weaknesses. You won't even be able to use the same build order each time you play the same faction.
